hey daniel sorry about the wait and yes actually i have a tip. When you're writing, write the first thing that pops into your mind. Example: She said, "I love you." Then later, using my FAVORITE website wordhippo.com you would go back and find words that make it interesting. Example: With a passion she avowed, "I worship the affection I feel for you." (Hahaha extremely cheesy!) When youre writing just get it over with, then go back and enhance it.
As for suspense: When you plot your story don't tell specific details. Leave cliff hangers and (if you are writing for a teen crowd) include gore to a certain degree. Don't use words like "said or told." The less boring it is the more it will keep readers on their seats.
