Kevin Leonel

This is Kevin, the little boy in Guatamala that I am sponsoring.

Kevin Leonel is 3 years old and he attends the San Antonio preschool. He will continue in the San Antonio preschool in 2012.

Kevin lives in San Antonio with his father, Santos 42 years old and his mother Andrea, 41 years old. He has 5 sisters and 4 brothers. They are:
Karina Isabel who is 21 years of age. Karina was born missing a hand.
Rony is 19 years old.
Ana Patricia age 16.
Cristina 14 years of age.
Miguel Angel is 11 years old. He is in 4th grade in 2010.
Laura (student #1444) was born February 2, 2001. She attends the San Antonio preschool. Laura is waiting for an operation for her eye.

Santos who is 7 years old and is in 1st grade in 2010.
Nelson Gustavo (student #1491) is 5 years old. He is in kindergarten in 2011.
Mayra,1 years old.

Santos is a day laborer. He makes $13 USD a week. Andrea works in the home. Rony works with his father as a day laborer. Karina and Ana make bracelets.

They own their home, it is made of cement blocks, has a metal roof with a cement floor.
The house has 2 rooms.
They have an Onil Stove.
They do not have a pila, Andrea washes the families clothes on a rock.
They have a water filter. July 2010.
They have 3 chairs and no table.
They have 1 bed which does not have a mattress.
They pay 8 USD per month for electricity and 8 USD a year for water.

Guatamala is a very poor country, and a lot of people over there live in cement houses with dirt floors. Many children are malnourished and do not get any education because their family cannot afford it. The country gets a lot of floods, but is not able to rebuild many of the houses that are washed away; the result is dozens of families that are left with basically nothing. Any prayer is appreciated.
