Chapter One - Hood
The sun rose in the pink sky as Hunter Parker made his way across Hinder Hill. The sky was a perfect blend of black, turqoiuse, and pink. It would have made anyone happy, but not Hunter. This beautiful morning, Hunter was mad!
His brother was dying, his mother had run away, and his father had been busy all summer and fall in Lorin Bolin, The city of the King. Thurston Blacksmith had been taking care of Hunter's brother, Allan, but nothing seemed to be working. Allan was dying, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. The sun peeked over the hill and blinded Hunter, making him slip and fall onto the wet muddy slope. That night there had been another October storm, and it was making everyone cranky.
Hunter picked himself off, brushed himself free from the mud and soil, and cussed under his breath. This was his favorite outfit. The only one he could wear to archery lessons. He looked up, his brown hair blocking his view and making him groan. He shook his head to the side and walked up the hill. Archery Class was just over the next hill.

Hunter stepped into place as the teacher, Scottish Captain Barbary, yelled to the class, "Knock ya arrows!" The class obeyed and about 10 arrows knocked into the bow. "Prepare ta fiya!" He said and pointed his finger towards the target. "Hit the bullseye! Not the teacher, Thurston!" He growled and Thurston lowered his head. The rest of the company sniffled a laugh. "Reday, Aim, Fiya!" He screamed and 10 arrows flew towards the targets. Each one hit a good number, except Hunter. His arrow was straight into the bullseye! Barbary noticed this and patted him on the back. "Great job, lad! Ya know 'ow to 'it the target!" He said and barked more orders to the students. Suddenly, Tina McMullen, a popular and rich bully, came up behind him and whispered to him with a voice full of hate...and onion. "Don't let this go to your head, Parker! You're going down...I'll make sure of that!"

Prologue- The Birth of Evil
Blood and soil stained King Elithimon's face as he raised his sword to defend himself from his worst enemy, The Dark Lord Dithmoore!
The Dark Lord had been banished from the Council of Lords because of his addiction to the Dark Magic! Over the thousands of years however, Dithmoore had mastered the power and used it against Alarian every single day. But now, he stood before King Elithimon, raising his staff and pointing the blue stone at the tip towards the kings head. In just a few seconds, there would be only a body and no face. Dithmoore began to chant in his Dark Language and the blue stone began to glow brighter and brighter.
Suddenly, King Elithimons son noticed his father on the floor with his sword poised to protect himself against Dithmoore. The Dark Lord was pointing his Magic Staff towards the king and was whispering something! Elithimon's son, Solithimon, knew what Dithmoore was about to do!
Raising his sword high in the sky, Solithimon began to yell and ran towards the two men. He jumped higher than the king and Dithmoore, and brought his sword down on Dithmoore's back. The Dark Lord screamed a dark, low scream and turned to face Solithimon. But it was too late! Solithimon had already lept onto Dithmoore's chest and drove the sword through his heart. Dithmoore stood still for what seemed like an eternity, then collapsed into his own pool of blood, burning to a crisp and never seen again.
But his staff lived on the bloody pool, and when the full moon showed later and the Messengers of the Dead discovered the staff, they placed it at the top of Dithmoore's refuge, The Gungor Towers! There, they planted it into the floor of the tower's roof, waiting for the right time when Dithmoore would rise again and take hold of Alarian. But the blue stone was nowhere to be found! Some believe it was found by Dwarves and stored with their jewels, others believe that a Grog leader, Brister, had stolen the stone himself and retreated into the Underworld! But fate itself took another course, and the blue stone found its way into the hands of a young Elf. An Elf named, Hunter Parker!
