The Title Series Book Two: The Itaki
Hey everyone!
This is the second book after The Felixi! I've also written an RPG and a third book.
I hope you'll enjoy this one as much as the first, but I'm going to warn you. It's going to be quite different.
They're may be blood or gruesome scenes so I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. Also there's some romance for those of you who are "allergic" to it.
Please feel free to give comments. Don't copy this either please. This is my hard work, I put it up here for people to enjoy, not copy. Thank you and enjoy! -^-^-
Prologue
She sat there, in her rocking chair, her face toward the window. Her long gray hair was braided then put into a tight bun atop her head. She smiled slightly showing her wrinkles, proving she had been alive for many years. Children ran around her yard laughing and playing, they were so happy on this side of the world. She couldn’t help but to think of all the other children on the world though, the ones that weren’t as lucky and living in the peaceful country. Her eyes were white and cloudy from being blind for so long. She closed them and saw the war ridden side of the world. People young and old, using their powers to kill each other. She opened her eyes and wiped them with a dainty cloth and stood. The others had arrived not too long ago, the last one was ready. She needed to call him home.

Yes he does have purple in his hair and trust me it's natural! He'd still have bright green eyes though. (My brother says he looks weird in this picture, but I like it! *pouts*)

Well, I knew I needed to change this sooner or later. I'm going to change this book to it's rightful name "The Itaki"

Yeah! ^^ This is the start of the countdown until the next book! Nine more chapters left.
Chapter 23: Backup
Yin, Miya and I, all turned around to see three boys and a girl. One, with short soft brown hair was sitting on the ground and opened his eyes. “Told you I’d get you here.” He said sheepishly.
The girl with shoulder length dirty blonde hair smacked him playfully over the head. “Sure you did Jason. After we got lost three times”
“Twice” The boy corrected her getting to his feet.
Yin rushed over to them. “You made it back! Jason did you teleport all of you guys all the way here?”
The boy who had been sitting down smiled slightly. “Yep”
Another boy with dark green hair and cross like scars under his eyes looked annoyed. “Here and everywhere else.” He mumbled.
Jason didn’t look happy. “Hey, you’re not the one who got wounded before we left.” He said pointing at a large gash in his arm.
Yin pushed them away from each other. “Leo, Jason, there’s no need to fight… yet. Just not each other. We’re in big trouble and will need your guy’s help.” She looked to the only girl in the group. “Aliyah can you go up ahead and scout to see when the fourth wave will be here?” Aliyah nodded and rushed off.
Yin turned to look at the last boy of the group who also had short brown hair, but his was more done up and darker in color. “Clayton, can you move Peter with your levitation? We need to move him fast and gently.”
Clayton nodded and went to work.
Yin turned to Jason. “I know you’re tired, but could you see if you could bring a bit of backup?”
Jason nodded before disappearing.
Lastly Yin turned to Leo “look for stragglers of Mind Crushers before the next wave comes.” She called out some more orders into her device organizing everyone for the next wave.
Leo changed into a lion and leapt into the city searching around for any mind crushers.
I followed Clayton and Madeline to see how Peter was doing. Slowly Clayton sat Peter down somewhere safe and Madeline went to work sending away the other healers to help the other wounded. I sat by her. “Anything I can do?” I asked nervously.
Madeline shook her head. “Just go get ready.”
I stood rubbing my arm and walked away feeling suddenly alone.
“Hello Squirt.” A familiar voice came from behind me.
I turned around to see Nathan. “Hey.” I said with a weak smiled.
He gently ruffled my hair. “Stick with me, ok?”
I looked at him surprised. “Why do you care now?” I asked. “You were avoiding me like the plague at training.”
Nathan laughed nervously rubbing the back of his head. “About that, I learned of an opening for my teacher Matthias. He’s supposed to be the best of the best so I wanted to train like crazy, but I avoided you guys cause… well you’re kind of annoying and distracting.”
“Thanks.” I muttered.
I gave me a noogie. “All forgiven?”
“Suuure” I said struggling out of his grip.
We finally organized ourselves and began the agonizingly quiet wait. This would be the last part before it was over and I prayed that we’d possibly win.
Aliyah finally returned breathless and pale everyone waited for her report. “They’ll be here in a couple hours because…” She took a gulp of air. “I overheard them talking about bringing The Dragon.”
Yin paled. “Are you sure?”
Aliyah shrugged. “That’s what they were talking about.”
Yin took a deep breath pinching the bridge of her nose and thinking. Finally she took out her device and changes some setting on it putting it up to her ear. “King Elias?”
“Yes?” Elias’s voice came over the earpiece.
Yin closed her eyes. “There bringing out the dragon… what should we do…?”
Elias remained silent for a while before he finally spoke. “Most of the troops were on that raid and anyone close has been sent to this battle. Everyone else is on the opposite side of the city and it would take days even for the fastest… I am so sorry… There’s nothing we can do…”
Everyone remained as silent as the grave.
Elias sighed. “We could back up and let them take over and when back up comes attack…”
Yin shook her head. “No, we will hold them off and defeat them. If needed we will die for this.”
Elias sounded concerned. “Are you sure?”
“Aye” Everyone said who was near enough to hear Elias.
There was more silence. “May the great king watch over you and protect you.”
Yin bowed her head. “Thank you.”
The communicator turned off and everyone stood in silence. We were all going to die. Something we all knew. There was no way to escape it. I didn’t know for sure, but I had a feeling this dragon was the one Peter got his large wound from, Dago lost most of limbs from and the appointed one was said to destroy. If it was that dragon then we knew we stood no chance.
No one moved for a long time as if it were a funeral. Finally Yin took a deep breath. “Well I’m not about to die without taking a whole lot of those creatures down with me.” She said with a small growl of determination.
Everyone cheered in agreement and Yin further rallied them. “Not many of you may make it, but we will hold fast and take as many as we can to the grave! If we have to fight that dragon then so be it! Perhaps the great King will have mercy and spare us, or even better the chosen one will show up and destroy that beast once and for all.”
The men cheered again, louder.
“Then we are ready!” Yin said.
The reply was almost deafening and the people were ready. Ready to fight. Ready to die fighting.
