Hey everyone!
This is the second book after The Felixi! I've also written an RPG and a third book.
I hope you'll enjoy this one as much as the first, but I'm going to warn you. It's going to be quite different.
They're may be blood or gruesome scenes so I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. Also there's some romance for those of you who are "allergic" to it.
Please feel free to give comments. Don't copy this either please. This is my hard work, I put it up here for people to enjoy, not copy. Thank you and enjoy! -^-^-
Prologue
She sat there, in her rocking chair, her face toward the window. Her long gray hair was braided then put into a tight bun atop her head. She smiled slightly showing her wrinkles, proving she had been alive for many years. Children ran around her yard laughing and playing, they were so happy on this side of the world. She couldn’t help but to think of all the other children on the world though, the ones that weren’t as lucky and living in the peaceful country. Her eyes were white and cloudy from being blind for so long. She closed them and saw the war ridden side of the world. People young and old, using their powers to kill each other. She opened her eyes and wiped them with a dainty cloth and stood. The others had arrived not too long ago, the last one was ready. She needed to call him home.

Chapter 17: A Tearful Meeting
Peter turned around looking into Levi’s cold eyes. Zia softly touched Levi’s shoulder but he pulled away.
Peter sighed. “I’m so sorry Levi; I just wanted to protect you.”
Levi laughed. “Protect me?”
Peter looked up at Levi. “Please tell me the little boy I once knew and loved is still in you.”
Levi shook his head. “He died… your betrayal and Felixivent’s brutal treatment slowly killed him off until there was nothing but a puppet for Felixivent’s will.”
“Wait, puppet?” I asked.
Levi’s eyes flashed in my direction. “You think I wanted to kill all of those kids?”
I took a step back in surprise.
“Felixivent wanted me strong so one day I could kill the chosen one he heard that was rumored to free the kids. I failed and trust me I heard from Felixivent afterwards.” Levi told me.
I felt sick. My father had been trying to kill me all that time and used people to try and kill me to.
Levi reached to his side. “I loathe you.” He whispered into Peter’s ear.
Peter looked stunned and heartbroken. “Is there any way you could forgive me?”
Levi pulled out a small knife. “No.” he thrust the knife into Peter’s stomach his eyes alight with a burning fire.
Zia grabbed me and pulled me back. “This is going to get messy.” She told me.
Peter turned to smoke and came around the corner of a building. “We don’t need to do this.” He told Levi.
Levi took twin swords of his back and brandished them furiously.
Peter sighed and a sword appeared in his hand.
Before I knew it they were clashing together. Two illusionists who used to be friends. It was sad and I could tell it pained Peter. Zia also looked distressed. “He’s been struggling so much. His missions seem to calm him a bit, but he has always harbored such a deep grudge against Peter.” She said.
They were just starting to get really deep into their battle when a man wearing a lion mask stood in between them and stopped the fight. “What’s this about?” the man asked gruffly.
“Long story Sir.” Levi said glaring at Peter.
The man sighed. “Well do it somewhere else if you must.” He turned to Peter. “First, you wanted to talk to me?”
Peter bit his lip. “Can I have a moment? I’ll join you in your hut soon.”
The man nodded and left with Levi. Zia looked back at us before following after them. Peter leaned against the well. He put his face in his hands and I heard him sob softly. I didn’t say a word but sat by him letting him get it all out.
Finally he pulled himself together. “Sorry.” He said. “Some teacher I am.” He laughed slightly. “I can’t even control my emotions.”
“I don’t mind.” I told him. “Everyone has emotions. You just proved that you’re not perfect.”
Peter chuckled slightly looking over to me. “Thanks.”
I smiled and sat by him until he had calmed down enough to stand and leave. “I’ll be right back.” He told me as he started off to the hut.
I sat back and waited.
“Sacha.” I voice came from the other side of the well.
I jumped in surprise and slowly I crawled around the well and saw Levi sitting against it.
He smirked slightly looking ahead. “Will you do me a favour?”
“W-what?” I asked nervously.
“Tell Peter I want to fight him tomorrow.”
My eyes widened. “I-I don’t know.” I said.
Levi’s purple eyes flickered to me and it felt like he was looking in my soul. “Just tell him.”
Slowly I nodded.
He grinned slightly. “At the bottom of the hill where your escort will leave you there are two paths. Take the left and go left twice before going right twice and lastly left again.”
I nodded committing the instructions to memory. “Can’t guarantee he’ll come.” I told Levi.
Levi laughed. “I know Peter far better than you do, trust me, he’ll come.” With that Levi turned to smoke leaving me on my own.
I crawled back to the other side of the well and thought about Levi while I waited. “What did Peter do to him to make him hate him so much?” I wondered.
Peter finally came out looking glum. “He wouldn’t agree.” He told me. “But he said when the war is over he’d gladly join with the king then.”
I smiled slightly. “Guess that’s better than nothing.”
Peter shrugged and nodded.
I stood. “So now what?”
It was starting to get dark and I watched the sun starting to go down.
“We’re staying the night.” Peter told me.
I relaxed. “Yes!” I couldn’t wait to sleep in a real bed after sleeping on the hard ground for the past few days.
Peter took out the gear and started setting up.
“Wait we’re sleeping out here?” I asked starting to feel my heart sink.
“Yep!” Peter told me cheerfully. “They offered us a place to stay but I told them you’re in training.”
“What?” I cried feeling anger starting to build inside of me.
Peter raised a brow.
“I have slept one the ground for days!” I yelled. “And when we were invited to sleep in warm beds you say no???”
Peter sighed spreading out his sleeping bag. “There are no beds in battle.”
I paused and listened to Peter.
“This great war is cut up into smaller battles, some which last month’s themselves. Some you never get to sleep eat or rest. Just none stop battle.” He paused to let this sink in. “The biggest battle I was part of started as a small raiding party, but quickly turned to a full out battle. It went on for months and there was very little food or sleep. I was with my master at the time and he helped me all along the way, but it was still the most difficult thing I had to do… Eventually both sides had to give up because more people were dying from starvation then the actual battle.”
I was rather surprised by Peter story and instantly regretted my anger. “Why do we have to fight?” I asked. “Why don’t we get the choice?”
Peter sighed. “When the war first started the king of that time couldn’t get enough warriors so he created a law saying anyone over thirteen must begin training.
“Why hasn’t anyone changed it?” I asked.
“Because it was the king’s death wish…”
My eyes widened. “So were stuck in this war?”
Peter sighed and nodded.
I rolled out my sleeping bag. “Sorry… my anger just kinda slipped on me.” I said trying to patch up the awkward silence.
Peter smiled slightly. “That’s alright.”
As I helped Peter set up I looked at the interesting people who lived in the tribe. “Do you know why most of the people here wear masks?” I asked.
Peter nodded. “They prefer people don’t know their identity when they kill you.”
“Lovely.” I muttered and Peter chuckled.
The sun had now gone down and we crawled under our sleeping bags. While we lay down I thought about what Levi had told me. Finally I rolled over to tell Peter but found him already deep in sleep. “Tomorrow…” I thought before drifting off.
The next morning while packing up I told him about Levi.
Peter was quiet a moment. “I’ll do it.” He told me.
I looked surprised. It appeared Levi did know Peter better than me.
When we were taken to the bottom if the hill we waited until our escort had left before going up the left path. After a couple wrong turns we finally arrived at a huge crater. In the center stood Levi wearing his tiger mask. On the edge or the crater was a boy my age wearing a mask that resembled a leopard. He had bright purple hair and purple eyes that peeked from the eye holes in the mask.
“You came.” Levi said.
Peter signaled me to stay out of the crater and went in. The crater was like a round bowl and about fifty feet in diameter. Curious I walked around to where the boy sat. “Who are you?” I asked.
He took off the mask and showed he was indeed about my age and rather handsome like Levi. “Name’s Philip” he told me with a big smile. “I’m Levi’s student.”
I sat beside him. He seemed nothing like Levi personality wise. “Are you an illusionist as well?” I asked.
He shook his head. “Nope, I’m a mind controller.”
