I'll start us off. Not sure if i quite completed this one or not, but i'll post it anyhoo.
Cardio Super-Nova
My wishing star is a meteorite
that fell straight from heaven,
embedding itself within the core of my chest.
I can feel the contrast.
The cold wind against the warmth
of my open heart.
The street signs leading the dead end way
begin to decay.
The stars in the sky
start to cry as if begging you
to walk another path. Their tears, eroding
a trail into the ground.
One to which life is found.
A fallen star's destination reached.
Not to burn out in the dirt.
Cardio super-nova.
Dreaming was not meant to hurt
so please restart.
Wish upon my star.
Become who you truly are. You're not that far.
They light the sky in countless billions.
Plenty for all of God's children.
Take your pick, make a wish.
Dreams do come true.
Don't let them extinguish.

Permalink Reply by Bladebearer on January 3, 2011 at 4:24pm What do you do when the world fights against you?
When all you can do is run for the hills?
What can you believe in when everything's wrong?
Just ask God to let you in.
He'll take to the safety of His arms
Hold you close as the night grows long
The world dares not mess with Him
Just ask God to let you in

Colors of the Seasons
Red are the leaves of the fall maple trees
Who flaunt their bright colors and welcome the bees
Orange is the sun over vast open seas
That dances and swirls as it warms every breeze
Gold are the days of summers gone by
The warmth of the morn and the cool of the nigh
Green is the grass sprouting fresh in the spring
Or tall oaken tree from which perched sparrows sing
Blue is the sky stretching endless and clear
Uncaptured unknown, somehow far and yet near
Violet lie mountains with craggy snow peaks
Past pines and all life where a lone eagle speaks
Blessed our Savior, our God, and our King
My Hope and Redeemer to Him my heart sings
