Awwwwwwwww "little ninjas"
Zhadow- Okay, that is neat! Did you enjoy it? What kind of things did you learn?
Jessi- Yay! :)
Hey! That's exactly what I thought Birthday Ninja was! XD
The dojo opened in 1990 but I was taking classes at the YMCA. I can't remember how old I was when I started but I was around 13 when I had to stop.
Okay, that makes sense. How long had your dojo been around before/when you started? How old were you then?
Well we didn't have "age groups" but the facility we were taking the classes had an age limit. Once you hit that, you had to go to the dojo. I was able to stay for like two more years until my brother hit the age limit because our sensei liked me. That and I was one of two blue belts he could depend on teaching the class if he wasn't there and couldn't find another sensei or high belt student. Me and the blue belt taught maybe two and half classes. One full class and two half classes. Sometimes our sensei told us to do the warm ups with the class if he had to change into his gi. He worked construction so sometimes he wasn't able to change before class.
Okay, that's still pretty good! We don't really have "age groups," aside from the "little ninjas" group, which has different belts, and when they graduate out of there they get their white belt for the "bigger" group. :)
I had to stop at blue belt with two green strips? cause I grew out of the age group and didn't times didn't work out for my age group down at the dojo.
Lol it's just a belt that someone can wear in class if it is their birthday that day, or around that day. :)
