Anyone out there, who's parents are making them wear braces, I pity you. I have braces as well, and if anyone can take a hit, I can (Due to being beat up by mom and siblings in a so called "Playful manner"...of coarse, just because I don't cry, doesn't mean I'm not a wimp...but I like to think otherwise.
Anyways, I have had my braces on for a little over a year now, and with each appointment, the shock of the tightening, and the ruthlessness of the orthodontist; it's almost like they LIKE for people to be in pain.
A little note to the newer braces wearers: Never get white bands. Plaque collects about a hundred times faster on rubber bands than on teeth. Take for instance, one time (for the Christmas season) I wore red and white (festive right? wrong) as soon as the first week was over, the stunning white had turned to a yellow yellower than yellowstone park. And of coarse, I had a dentist appointment that day. So when the dentist asked "Are yellow and red your favorite colors?" I swiftly answered "YES! Of coarse....I mean they are soooo complimentary."
Also, when your parents say "Oh! But then you can get a good job, especially if you're into acting"
You ask, "What? You expect them to say 'no experience, but her teeth are soooo straight"
she'll answer, "Yes"
Then you say, " But I would expect them to think my teeth gave me personality"
She'd say "Whatever"
Then you mimic "'WOW! Look at her. Her teeth give her so much personality"
You may use this in getting your mom or dad to choose against braces.
