When I first created my character Sheen for the Sliver Mist, he was just an ordinary character. Then I started to think lots about him until he slowly became a friend of mine. I love adding him to my real life and seeing his reaction. Since I’m his writer he considers me a part of his family… well, the last part of his family. Anyways this unfortunately makes him very overprotective. Today I had a dentist appointment and as usual he insisted upon coming with me. Worried he might panic I invited Nathan to come along as well. (Nathan is from my book)
We were at Wal-Mart when Sheen started asking questions. “So what is this dentist?” He asked me as we walked down the shoe isle to get to the video games. “It’s nothing much.” I told him simply. He looked at me hard. “You sure? You look nervous.” I blushed. “Really, it’s nothing.” I told him. Sheen disappeared as my mind drifted to other things, video games. My dream game to get is Sonic Generations for Xbox 360! The problem? I don’t have and Xbox 360…
Later in the toy section where my brother ran up and down the LEGO isle in heaven, Sheen popped up. “OK why’s Nathan here?” He asked me angrily. I swallowed. “Um, well, he wanted to come along to.” I said. Sheen crossed his arms and looked at me hard. “Is that it?” He asked. I nervously looked at the ground. “Well, you see the dentist is exactly fun…” Sheen looked at me seriously. “What is a dentist? I want to know.” I sighed. My mom arrived and we started walking toward the till. “You see the dentist is someone who cleans and fixes my teeth.” I said. He looked confused. “That doesn't sound bad, why are you so nervous?” We reached the till. “Well, it kind of hurts if I get a cavity and they have to fix it.” I said. Sheen looked horrified. “So they’re going to hurt you?!” he cried. I winced at his reaction. Sheen started to panic. “You can’t go there!” He told me. Nathan appeared behind him and put a hand on Sheens shoulder. “Calm down squirt.” He said. Sheen whipped around and glared at Nathan. “Don’t you dare call me that!” He spat. Nathan grinned. “She might not even have any cavities so don’t panic now.” Sheen huffed and put his hands in his pockets. I looked down at the floor, nervous. You see I have this small problem where my enamel falls apart and I get cavities easy. I just knew Sheen wasn’t going to take this dentist appointment well.
In the waiting room I fiddled with my fingers nervously. Sheen sat down beside me, saying nothing and looking nervous himself. Nathan also sat down and grabbed a magazine from the nearby coffee table. He started to snicker and I looked up to find he found some sort of girly magazine. I sighed. If Nathan had any weak points it would be the girl trouble he got into. Sheen looked at me worried. “You are going to be OK, right?” I nodded feeling that if I said anything I’d throw up. I hated the dentist, nothing but bad news. Nathan looked up from his magazine and gently touched me with his cooling hand. “You’ll be fine.” He promised. “It’s only a cleaning and check-up anyways.” I looked at my shoes. “If they find rotten teeth it could be worse though.” Nathan smiled making me feel all melty inside and Sheen glared at him jealously. I was starting to feel better.
After the long wait it was time. I followed the Hygienist to the room which was smaller than I was used to and sat in the chair. The cleaning began with the lady looking around in my mouth and Sheen watched suspiciously. They lady then took her polisher thingy and started to clean my teeth. Now most people hate this part, but it’s my favorite. It so relaxing and gentle it calms me right down. Sheen was not impressed. “D-does it hurt?” He asked. “Nope.” I told him. After polishing the lady took one of the sharp pokey thingy to scrape off any plaque. This tipped the already jittery Sheen over the edge. “WHAT THE HECK DOES SHE THINK SHES DOING!!! SHES GOING TO STAB MY WRITER!!!!” (Note that he calls me his writer. He actually called me my real name, but sorry, you guys will never know. MUHAHAHAHA. *cough* sorry) He yelled pulling out his sword and he brought it down on the Hygienist’s head. Luckily Nathan froze him in time. “Chill Sheen.” He said coolly. (Sorry bad puns XD) He took Sheens sword away and held onto the back of Sheens shirt so he couldn’t get away. Sheen struggled under Nathans grip. “Let me go!” He shouted. Nathan rolled his eyes. “Dude! She’s just cleaning her teeth!” Sheen relaxed a bit when the Hygienist stopped poking my teeth and got something else ready. I smiled at him hoping Sheen would stop panicking. The lady then gave me two big thingy’s full of gross tasting foam and put them in my mouth with a small suction thingy. My eyes wield up in pain when a realized the stuff was stinging my poor tongue which had a sore on it. Sheen eyes widened. “POISEN!!!” He cried. “GET IT OUT OF HER MOUTH!!! SHES GOING TO DIE!!!” Nathan rolled his eyes and held his arm around Sheens neck. He was far stronger and older then Sheen and easily overpowered him.
In the end I was totally good. No cavities! I skipped out of the dentist feeling happy! Sheen on the other hand… well he looked like a nervous wreck. I thanked Nathan before he left and thanked Sheen as well. He tried to compose himself. “Well don’t think I’ll come along for that ever again!” He told me and I nodded with a small smile.
So this is this is the way my little mind works! And most of it is true! ACK! Sheens attacking me! He says this is embarrassing! (I wonder why?)
(By the way I kinda got the idea for this from nghome's blog. Is ok that I kinda copied you?)
