Hello Blade,

I thought it would be best to clear some of Starlight's claims up.

"... we do have a comic book fans group, but the one in charge (not the creator) won't let us talk about a lot of comic books, and we aren't allowed to even mention a resource that allows us to watch superhero movies without getting a warning."

I'm not entirely sure of what comics she is suggesting I don't allow. I know that I tend to shut down fan art to something that has a single promotional comic and nothing else (Inception for example). When it comes to "a resource that allows us to watch superhero" I don't recall doing this unless Starlight is referring to the now barely legal VidAngel. I don't allow VidAngel to be discussed because it edits the final product that many people worked on in addition to ruining the proper telling of the selected story.

"I tried to use basic font functions and the post got deleted because it "hurt his eyes" and "was an abuse of font functions" and when I tried to post a gif he deleted that too.”

Starlight's "basic font functions" abused font functions by going massive in size just because it was an option. As for the gifs, I said multiple times in this latest instance and prior ones, I was contacted by a user finding them to be painful to watch. I inform the poster and then remove the gif. In the latest instance, the user sent me these links (https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/9am8de/so-how-exactly-does-a-gif-cause-a-seizure, http://www.ibtimes.com/animated-gifs-epilepsy-dangers-849817) which I then shared in CBF. Yes I was short but there is a history of posters complaining after I delete a gif and give an explanation as to why. I have gotten immensely tired of it.

"Also, the leader tries to convince me to disobey my mom and watch a movie that I'm not allowed to."

This is inaccurate. I may have suggested that she should watch something (I believe we were discussing Logan) if she wanted to because I thought it was a good movie but I didn't go "Hey Starlight, go disobey your mother and watch this."

"He also insilted my faith, saying it was weak because I didn't want to watch this one TV show because it didn't sit right with me and I didn't want to defile my conscience for a TV show."

This is a twisting of words. After the first couple of replies I had with another user regarding Marvel's Runaways on Hulu, Starlight goes "And I've never read the comic, but I've done some research, and I believe that it does not honor God, and so I won't be watching the show or reading the comics." I reply saying it is "Your loss. It's a great work of fiction.", later using an example of my mother after Starlight stated that watching the show would cause her to "loose something else" if she watched it in addition that it would "violate her consciense": "Your conscience will not be violated if you view/read something that does not align with your beliefs. There's a thing called open dialogue for a reason. I have prime examples of this: My mother ... has no issue consuming fictional media because she understands that it's fictional and does not hurt her beliefs. In actuality it helps grow her beliefs as she is able to draw comparisons/similarities/etc. and A relate to those not of her beliefs more than she otherwise would and B reflect on what she viewed/read and where it stands with her beliefs." Starlight continues to say watching the show would violate herself and I tell her "it's called maturing her faith" to which she replied that she didn't want to mature her faith. Starlight followed that up with Matthew 18:3 which I found interesting because little children are like sponges and want to learn all that's possible... That's a conversation for another ti

First off, hi blade! Long time no see!

Second, we do have a comic book fans group, but the one in charge (not the creator) won't let us talk about a lot of comic books, and we aren't allowed to even mention a resource that allows us to watch superhero movies without getting a warning.

I tried to use basic font functions and the post got deleted because it "hurt his eyes" and "was an abuse of font functions" and when I tried to post a gif he deleted that too.

We aren't allowed to talk about the "Inception" comic, because "it's viewed as a movie" but so are most superheros.

We aren't allowed to talk about certain comic books, and the only real reason is the leader doesn't like them?

Also, the leader tries to convince me to disobey my mom and watch a movie that I'm not allowed to.

He also insilted my faith, saying it was weak because I didn't want to watch this one TV show because it didn't sit right with me and I didn't want to defile my conscience for a TV show.

For these reasons, I decided to at least try to make a new group where we could just hang around and talk about comics whenever we want and if we don't want to, we can talk about something else.

If it doesn't get approved that's fine, I'll just make a discussion, I just thought I'd try.
